Georgette Ageea (Haddad) Hallock Johnson, 89, passed away peacefully at her home on September 4, 2012. Born July 3, 1923, to the late Solomon and Nellie Haddad, she was a lifelong resident of Willimantic. Georgette was a waitress at The Luncheonette Restaurant that her father owned and operated on Main Street in Willimantic. She was also employed by Star Furniture, and Sears & Roebuck. She later retired in 1983, from the State of Connecticut D.O.T. in Norwich, where she worked many years as a secretary. "Georgie" was tiny, but talented. She was noted as a lifelong pianist, who played in numerous bands. She also danced with her two sisters in many performances for the "Willimantics". Along with this, she was a former past Matron for the Eastern Star Lodge, and a communicant of St. Marks Episcopal Chapel in Storrs. "Georgie" loved music, her home, and dogs. She was a kid at heart, who loved life, and lived hers to the fullest. She enjoyed taking trips, being with friends, and was especially proud of all her family. Georgette was predeceased by her first husband, James D. Hallock, who owned and operated Hallock's Ice Cream, where she would often lend a helping hand. She was also predeceased by her second husband, J. Vincent Johnson. Georgette is survived and will be deeply missed by her sister Geraldine Adams and her late husband Richard of Andover and her sister Joyce Brochu and her husband Ronald, of Chaplin. She was predeceased by a nephew David Adams, and leaves behind niece Regina Malsbary and her husband Fred, nephew Jeffrey Adams and his life partner Michael Cebula, nephew Douglas Brochu and his wife Denise who looked after her in her final years, a niece Judith Tumel and her husband Gary, and a nephew Daniel Adams and his wife Robin. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews whom she deeply cherished, Amelia Malsbary, Lindsey Malsbary, Haley Adams, Aaron Tumel, and Kara Adams. She is also survived by her brother in law Frank Ferrigno Sr. and a step son Kenneth Johnson. She was also predeceased by a sister in law Betty Ferrigno, brother in law Robert Ferrigno, sister in law Henrietta Ferrigno, and a nephew Frank Ferrigno Jr. In addition to all her family and friends, Georgette leaves behind her very loving companions and care givers, Rose, Sylvia, Cutie, Wendy and Stephanie. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday Sept. 9, 2012 between 2:00 and 4:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00pm at St. Mark's Episcopal Chapel, 42 North Eagleville Rd., Storrs, with interment following in Storrs Cemetery.
