George B. Wallis Jr., 79, of Willimantic, CT, husband of Janet (Rail) Wallis, passed peacefully with loved ones by his side at Saint Joseph's Living Center?on Sunday, June 18, 2017. George was born on January 13, 1938. in?Flushing, NY but resided in CT most of his life.?In addition to his wife Janet, of 46 years, he is survived by?a daughter, KerryAnn Passarello of South?Windham, and?a son and daughter-in-law Gregory and Sylvia Wallis of Westfield, MA. George is predeceased by a son, Charles Wallis. He had five grandchildren, Joseph Passarello and his wife Melissa, Jason Passarello and his wife Janis, Janine Kuntz and her husband Justin, Christopher Wallis and Rachel Wallis. He was blessed with a great-grandchild, Andrea Marie Passarello just two months before his passing. He had two brothers,?one sister and many?nieces and nephews.?George was a graduate of Windham High School and attended UCONN?where he?was well known for his acting in the Drama Department. He also attended ECSU. He served as the Executive Director of WACAP in the late 70's. After that he was a Purchasing Agent for Jacobs Rubber Co. in Danielson CT. When the company moved to Virginia he moved with them?to?became the Plant Manager until his retirement?at which time he and his wife returned to CT. During his retirement years he worked?at the Big Y where he made many friends amongst his co-workers and customers. There will be no funeral services as his family will be celebrating his life in private. Any Donations can be made to Saint Joseph?s Living Center in Windham CT 14 Club Rd.
