George S. Steets

George S. Steets, 72, of North Windham, Ct. , formerly of W. Warwick, R.I., died Thursday March 13, 2003 at the Windham Hospital. He was born June 22, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Steven and Julia (Rizak) Steets. He owned and operated Devault Insurance Agency in Warwick for many years and then was employed by Burns & Cotter Insurance Agency in Providence until his retirement. He had been active with the Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus in W. Warwick. Mr. Steets was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. He is survived by his wife Gloria (Devault) Steets of N. Windham, 5 children; Cheryl Steets of Cotati, CA., Wendy Johnson of Coventry, R.I., Robin Petrarca of Warwick, R.I., Kimberly Steets of Coventry, R.I. and David Steets of Johnston, R.I., 2 sisters; Irene O'Lee and Katherine Amstutz both of Ohio and 5 grandchildren; Christine, Kimberly, Jennifer, Andrew and David. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte .195) Willimantic on Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 am prior to his 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Valley St. Willimantic, Ct.
