George H. St. Germain, 62, of Willimantic, husband of Marion (Gagne) St. Germain, died Wednesday October 26, 2005 at the Windham Hospital. He was born June 29, 1943 in Willimantic the son of the late Henry and Loretta (Vertefeuille) St. Germain and had lived in Willimantic all his life. Prior to his retirement he was employed for many years at the Storrs Post Office. He was a member and former Exalted Ruler of the Willimantic Elks Lodge #1311 and a member of the Franco American Civic and Social Club in Windham. George loved sports and was an avid New York Yankees fan. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Todd J. St. Germain of Norwich, a daughter, Leah A. St. Germain of Taftville, a sister, Lucille Savino and her husband Peter of Scotland, 8 grandchildren including Alyssa and Elizabeth Sanchez who resided with him and his wife. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. prior to the procession to his Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
