George Edward Oulton, Jr., 86, beloved husband of Beatrice (Heap) Oulton, passed away at home in Windham Center on Jan. 5, 2006. He was the son of George Edward Oulton, Sr. and Ella (Oulton) Oulton. Born in Madison, ME, he grew up in Nashua, NH. After George served in the Air Force in England during World War II he graduated with honors from Bentley College. After 43 years of employment with the American Thread Company he retired in 1981 as Senior Cost Analyst. He was a member of the National Association of Cost Accountants. He served on the Board of Directors of the Card Home for the Aged. He was a life-time member of the Windham Center Fire Department, having served many years as secretary. He was a fifty year member of the First Congregational Church of Windham, where he taught Sunday School, served many years as treasurer, and attended Bible Study. George loved spending time with his family, was an avid reader and enjoyed solving word puzzles. In addition to his wife of 58 years, he is survived by his daughters: Carol and her husband George Peterson of Plainville, Linda Oulton of Branford, and Barbara and her husband Richard Anstett of Winsted, and granddaughter Elena Anstett. His family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Windham located at the junction of Rte. 14 and Rte. 203 in Windham Center. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Windham Center Cemetery Contributions in his memory may be made to either the First Congregational Church of Windham P. O.
