Fructuoso "Fruto" De Jesus

Fructuoso (Fruto) De Jesus, 85, of Willimantic, CT died peacefully at Vanderman Place on April 23, 2016. He was born May 10, 1930 in Orocovis Puerto Rico, to Cayetano De Jesus and Juana Molina. Fruto came to live in CT in 1989 with his family. Fruto was best known for his lively spirit and love of music, he enjoyed playing his guitar and singing traditional Spanish tunes (Aguinaldos puertorrique?os). He enjoyed gardening with his son Eugenio and creating cherished memories with his grandchildren. He was loved by all who crossed his path. Along with his parents Fruto is predeceased by his wife Julia Irizarry Pagan, step-mother Santo Rivera, brother Pablo De Jesus, and sister Rufina De Jesus. Fruto is survived by his son Eugenio (Ge?o) De Jesus and step-son Victor (Vitin) Rodriguez and beloved grandchildren, Eugenio (Ge?ito) De Jesus, Joshua (Josh) De Jesus, Katiria Maldonado and husband Ivan Maldonado Jr. as well as three great grandchildren.
