Frederick John Anable

Frederick J. Anable, 81, of Willimantic, husband of Barbara (Mott) Anable, died Sunday Feb. 16, 2014 at Windham Hospital. He was born in Massena, NY and served in the U.S. Air Force. For many years he was employed as a civil engineer inspector for Uhl, Hall & Rich Engineers, Cahn Engineers and Greiner Engineering. Fred also provided engineering work for the Town of Windham for the Riverfront Park and various other downtown projects. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Faye Clayton and her husband Scott of Lebanon; two granddaughters, Jean and Krystal Clayton of Lebanon and a brother Clifford Anable of AZ. His family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday Feb. 22, 2014 between 12:30 and 1:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 1:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Interment will be at a later date in Massena, NY. In lieu of flowers his family suggests memorial donations to Willimantic Whitewater Partnership.
