Frederick Surridge Obituary
Frederick A. Surridge, 99, of Coventry, CT slipped away May 9, 2020 to finally join his first and only sweetheart and wife of 72 years, Doris Phillips Surridge. Dot died April 30, 2015, and Fred has been impatiently waiting for 5 years to be reunited with her. Fred was born July 14, 1920 to the late Frederick J. and Helen Surridge.
Our father fought in WWII, was recalled to the Korean War and upon returning he resumed his service in the National Guard until 1965 as CWO4. Mom and Dad will forever be etched in our hearts and minds. They are predeceased by one son, Allen, have 2 surviving daughters, Linda and Diane and 2 sons, Stephen and Harold. They also leave 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. There will be a memorial at a later date for the immediate family. Our family would love to extend our gratitude to the Card Home and St. Joseph's staff for the tremendous efforts they made to contribute to their welfare. Thank you very much.
