Devoted Family Man Fred Cook, 91, of Woodland Dr., Windham, husband of Lucia (Bertrand) Cook, died Wednesday Sept. 5, 2001 at the Windham Hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1910 in England. He was retired from the American Thread Co. after nearly 50 years of employment. Mr. Cook was a member of St. Paul s Episcopal Church in Willimantic and the Willimantic Elk s Lodge. He was a member of both the National Guard and the State Guard. He enjoyed bowling and fishing. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter and son in law Patricia and William Rainville of Danielson, 2 grandsons Timothy and Christopher Rainville and 2 great grandsons Michael and Steven. A private graveside service will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to St. Paul s Episcopal Church 220 Valley St. Willimantic, CT.06226 or to the Hospice of E. CT., 34 Ledgebrook Dr., Mansfield Center, Ct. 06250. Arrangements through the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St.Willimantic.
