Frank Warfield Obituary
Frank W. Warfield of Columbia passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. Frank was a quiet man who held no grudges and sought the best in everyone. His smile made you believe in goodness and light. He enjoyed going on vacation with his wife, trips to the casino, going to Orioles baseball games with his son Bruce. Always making sure his yard looked beautiful, and spending time with his family. He will be truly missed.
Frank served in the US Navy for 4 years. He worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 32 years before a sudden illness caused him to retire. Frank was born in St. Lous, MO to the late Frank A. Warfield and Mildred P. Warfield (Verrill). Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 65 years Frances E. Warfield, his children Tammy Balon of Enfield, Bruce Warfield and wife Carol of Scotland, Kelly Moorcroft of Columbia. His grandchildren Danielle, Dávid, Cody, Jocelynn, Steven, Joshua, Joseph, Louis David Warfield. His great-grandchildren Xavier, Colton, Jameson, Adalyn, Vivian, Bradley, Autumn, Luna, Eve, Damon, and Scarlet. His brother Roger Warfield of FL, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Frank "Fuzzy" Warfield, his sister Pauline Buckley, brother’s Ira Warfield, Albert Verrill and his son-in-law Thomas Moorcroft.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 1pm-3pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St, Willimantic CT. Burial will be held later at the convenience of the family. In honor of Frank's memory and life, please perform random acts of kindness. Frank always made it a point to kiss his family and tell them to "have a nice day with Jesus", and now Frank is peacefully sleeping in Jesus's arms.
