Frank J. Rivers

Frank J. Rivers, 87, Windham, CT passed away September 16, 2016. Frank was born in East Hill, Vermont, son of the late Frank & Emoroy (Baker) Rivers. Frank was one of 17 children and leaves behind 2 sisters: Ruth Belanger of Montpelier, VT and Pauline Latulippe of Tucson, AZ, and one special Sister-In-Law Joan Rivers. Frank worked on many Dairy Farms in his lifetime, with the last one being Pond View Farms - Shawn McGillicuddy of Lebanon.?Sometimes, working with his late brother Carl on the farms.?Frank also enjoyed playing cards with the ladies at The Card Home in Willimantic. Frank was a Veteran of the Korean War and had an honorable discharge in 1954. Awards and citations that he received were the Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal, 3/1 Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Distinguished Unit Emblem. Our many thanks to Susan Humes for her continuous support and friendship to Frank over the years. As well as Douglas Manor for the care that they showed him. Franks final resting place will be Saint Bernard?s Cemetery of Rockville, where the family will have a private memorial service.
