Frank D. Meduna, 69, of Mansfield, CT departed this life on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Born on January 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Frank and Saima Meduna. He was a graduate of E.O. Smith High School. Frank grew up on the family dairy farm in Ashford, where he learned many skills and gained wisdom throughout the years. Frank was a retired Millwright with the Connecticut Carpenters and Joiners Union. He also enjoyed working at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. Frank enjoyed and shared his life with family and friends while fishing, hunting, and working his mine in New York. In his younger days he enjoyed playing in the fast pitch softball leagues and as he got older the weekly horseshoes games. Frank was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, and the UConn Women's Basketball Team. Frank was predeceased by a brother Richard Meduna. Frank is survived by sisters Agnes Golden and family, Janet Baily, Scott, Shawn, Samantha Meduna and Carson Privee, Robert, Dawn and Dylan Meduna, and Debbie Meduna Maynard. He will be remembered and missed by a multitude of extended family and friends, especially by his extended family in New York. Frank passed many of his skills and traits to the ones he loved. Frank was an inspiration to everyone to live life to the fullest, Frank will be greatly missed by all. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic, CT. The family will gather at 2:00 pm for burial at Woodward Cemetery in Ashford, CT.
