Francis Heibler

Francis "Bud" R. Heibler, 77, of Tuckie Rd., N. Windham, husband of Bernyle (Schirmer) Heibler, died Wednesday Feb. 13, 2002 at the Roncalli Health Center, Willimantic. He was born Feb. 23, 1924 in Norwalk the son of George and Florence (Statham) Heibler. He was a W.W.2 Army veteran and participated in the Normandy Invasion. Mr. Heibler was a past president and founder of the West Norwalk Community Baseball League. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 daughters Deborah A. Heibler of Farmington and Betsy Heibler of Branford, 2 sons; William F. Heibler of Branford and Richard E. Heibler of Fairfield, 2 brothers; Russell Heibler of Florida and Earl Heibler of Manchester, a sister Florence Smith of New Milford , 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00pm at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Burial will be private in the CT. State Veteran?s Cemetery, Middletown.
