Frances (Rusty) Panagrosso Rusty, as her friends and family knew her, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born 1933 in West Fryeburg, Maine, to Floyd and Lillian Stevens. Later in life, Rusty moved to Connecticut where she met the love of her life, her husband, Paul, her "Hunk of Burning Love". They spent 55 wonderful years together and they were truly in love with one another. Rusty and Paul started their family in New Haven, CT, moving to Trumbull, CT and then retiring in North Windham, CT. Their eldest daughter Dawn resides in Standish, ME, daughter Debbie and her husband Frank reside in Huntington, CT. Son Paul lives in Windham, ME, and son Scott and his wife Kris reside in Colchester, CT. Their children gave Rusty and Paul many grandchildren; Brian, Sondra, Lisa, Christopher, Cameron, Marcus and Ryan. There are also great grandchildren, Reese, Riley, Keegan, Sierra and Chase. Rusty was predeceased by her brother Hazen. Her surviving sisters, Gertrude and Jeannette, reside in Maine. Rusty touched so many people during her life with her very colorful and loving way. Over the years, she developed life-long friends including her Bridge Buddies in Trumbull, and the sitter who helped care for her children. She also appreciated the many friends from the North Windham Community. Rusty never "cooked for two" but rather had meals that could easily feed twenty. Her family and friends will so miss her cooking, love and wit; one would never know what she was about to say or the blush she was about to put on one's face. The family would like to thank all the caregivers, and the compassion they showed. There are so many to thank and we so appreciate all who stepped in to provide comfort, support and love. Rusty was one unique gal and she will be sadly missed by her husband, her family and by many who came to meet and love her.
