Frances A. (Gantick) Anthony of Storrs, departed this life on August 11, 2018. She was born on August 8, 1923 in Willimantic, daughter of John and Catherine (Burski) Gantick. She was the widow of Rodney Charles Anthony. Frances was a graduate of Lyman Memorial High School in Lebanon. She had been employed at the American Thread Company in Willimantic as an analyst. After her retirement Frances volunteered as a health aide and companion. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Church and was very active in the Women's Club. She worked at Bingo for 15 years. Frances was always one to put others before herself. She lived her life giving to others. Frances leaves a daughter Roberta Anthony, grandsons Joshua (Corrie) Puhlick and Justin (Kristy) Puhlick, and great grandchildren Nathaniel, Chase, and Lila, great great grandchildren Natalie and Dominic, as well as three special nieces Vanessa, Nancy, and Rhonda. Frances also leaves behind several cousins including Ray and Irene Gantick, and very special longtime friend Jeanne Tucker. She is predeceased y her brother Henry and sister Veronica. Per Frances' request, there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Potter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Special thanks to all of her friends who kept her happy, as well as the wonderful staff at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehab who showed her so much love and compassion during her final months. Special thanks also to Dr. Shooks and her angel Dr. Nadig who were always there for her, along with her nurses at Hartford Healthcare Oncology and Infusion Center.
