Florette “Flo” Genevieve Macfarlane, born June 17, 1930, was a fervently loving and dedicated daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend. Flo is loved and remembered for her sensitive heart, her boisterous personality, an impeccable fashion sense, a classic Manhattan, and unparalleled generosity. She had a penchant for befriending strangers wherever she went. Whether she was forging years-long relationships or making someone smile in passing, she made a positive impact on all whom she crossed paths with. Flo loved her family and friends passionately and never took issue reminding them, especially her beloved husband, Jim, whom she memorialized with prayers and stories every day.

Flo is predeceased by her mother and father, Yvonne Ouelette Tetreault and Ernest Tetreault, her nine siblings, Ernest, Andrew, Carroll “Mickey”, Angeline Rebell, Jean Gagne, Rita Wojick, Joan Adams Nye, Leona Kovisto, Yvette Wojick, and the love of her life, H. James Macfarlane. She is survived by many adoring nieces, nephews, and friends. Flo’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home in Willimantic, CT., with a funeral home service beginning at 11:00am.
