Florence (McCaughey) Otka, of Willington, beloved wife of Paul J. Otka, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at home after a short illness. She was born in Stafford, CT, the daughter of Flora (Busquet) and Joseph McCaughey. She was predeceased by her mother, father, two brothers and her late husband, Paul, who died in January of 1984. She leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Robert Otka and his wife Patricia of Gurnee, IL, James Otka and his wife Rachel of Ashford, a daughter, Judith (Otka) Dahlquist and her husband Kenneth of The Villages, Fl, and Barre, VT, six grandsons, nine great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She also leaves two step granddaughters and her dear friend Gigi Booth of Willington. Florence was a resident of Willington for the past 58 years. She enjoyed family activities, socializing with her friends at the Willington Senior Center, weekly yard tag sales and bird watching. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. A memorial service for both Florence and her late husband Paul will be held at the Federated Church of Willington on Rte. 32 in South Willington on Saturday December 2nd at 11:00 a.m. Interment of their cremated remains will follow in the Willington Hill Cemetery.
