Flor Otero Nieves, 79, of Willimantic, CT, died peacefully at his home in Windham Heights Apartments on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. He was born, October 19, 1940 in Dorado, Puerto Rico to the late Manuel Otero & Maria Nieves of Dorado, Puerto Rico. Flor is survived by his brother Benito Otero and sister Laura Otero both residents of Dorado, Puerto Rico. survived also by his ex-wife Carmen Rodriguez and four children; Daughter Carmen (Canky)Fuentes, Daughter Flor (Oni) Rivera, daughter Xiomara (Cookie) Serrano & son Hommy (Pito) Otero. All residents of Willimantic, CT. Flor was able to enjoy all his 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren’s well as his 2 great-great grandchildren. His family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic, CT 06226. His funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 10:00am, with the burial to follow at the New Willimantic Cemetery Route 32.
