Fernande "Fern" Anais Hopkins

Fernande "Fern" Anais (Michaud) Hopkins, 92, of Storrs, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2015 after a courageous battle with dementia. Fern was born in Van Buren, Maine and the youngest of eight children. In addition to her parents, Fred and Anais (Lausier) Michaud, and siblings, Fern was predeceased by her husband Harry J. Hopkins, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Charlier, grandson Eric Hopkins and his wife Sherise, and great grandchildren, Aylsea, and Abby Pacheco of Storrs. Her son Gregory Hopkins and his wife Amy; grandchildren Amanda, Melanie and Evan Hopkins of Lebanon. She also leaves many nieces and nephews as well as devoted caregivers, Sandra, Kate, Arlene, Denise and Brenda. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Storrs Cemetery, North Eagleville Road, Storrs.
