Felix Antonio Lopez Velez, Age 58, Beloved Father, Brother, Son, and Friend of Taftville Connecticut passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Cancer. Felix was born on March 19th, 1968. To Felix Lopez and the late Zorida Velez in the town of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Felix is a graduate of Jefferson High School, and an Associates Trade Graduate from Windham Tech. Moving to NYC in 1979 at age 11 alongside his mother, brother and sister. Finally residing and setting permanent roots in Norwich/Taftville Connecticut for the last 7 years.

Felix Antonio Lopez Velez was an avid CDL Trucker beginning his own business ventures creating Grampa Express LLC and then further along his career being employed with Biotrans until 2021. He partook in a scooter/biker cancer runs in support of his own journey and encouragement for others to continue to fight for a healthier life shortly before his passing. He was a devoted father to his two children, his two grandchildren, and a loving brother to his siblings. Someone who was always willing to feed someone, available for guidance, and the occasional jokester. He enjoyed his family time, he more than enjoyed being a trucker and traveling the USA, he was MLB fanatic of team the New York Mets, but most of his daily life if not behind his big rig consisted of him being alongside his two grandchildren Felix's pride and joy. Felix will mostly be remembered for his grand kindhearted nature, and how he was always willing to lend a helping hand and give what he could.
