Faye H. Fitts

Faye H. Fitts, 86, of Putnam, widow of Hartley D. Fitts, died Thursday, August 18, 2005 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. She was born October 6, 1918 in Willimantic, the daughter of Emil and Daisy (Lincoln) Bernet and had lived in Storrs most of her life. She was an avid reader and Red Sox fan. Faye was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Emerson of Pomfret, a son and daughter-in-law, John and Jan Fitts of Harwich, MA, 6 grandchildren, Carl Emerson, Lisa Blouin, Kathryn Fortin, Thomas Emerson, Karen Main and Michael Emerson, 12 great grandchildren, a sister Norma Pomo of Preston, her dearest friend Grace Clauson, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private with burial in the Storrs Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor s choice.
