It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Fabian Rafael Sosa-Mangual, 17, of Willimantic, CT on May 27, 2022. Fabian was born February 7, 2005, son of Lucy Eileen Mangual and Rafael Sosa.
Fabian grew up in Willimantic. He was a junior at QMC High School in Danielson, CT. Often referred to as “El Fabuloso”, he was known for being a gentle soul, with a sense of humor, and a smile that could light up a room. He loved school and was an honor roll student. Fabian aspired to be an entrepreneur and had dreams of owning a business. Fabian enjoyed spending the summers with his father in the Dominican Republic, working at his first job at Dunkin’ Donuts on Main St. in Willimantic, and hanging out with his sister Valerie and his Husky, Nala.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandfather, Carlos Juan Mangual, Sr.; grandmother, Lucy Hernandez; sisters, Valerie Pacheco-Mangual, Angiolina Sosa, Diana Patricia Sosa, Scarlet Sosa, Josefa Jazmin Sosa, and Paola Martinez; girlfriend, Melany Mendoza; stepfather Julio de Valle; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Your entire family misses you dearly, Fabian, and you will live in our hearts forever.
Fabian's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm and his celebration of life will follow at 7:00pm at Christian Life Assembly, 143 Windham Rd. Willimantic, CT 06226. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the CT Type 1 Diabetes JDRF Foundation.
