Evelyn R. Chalifoux

Evelyn Chalifoux, 85, of Haines City FL, formerly of Willimantic, wife of the late Albert Chalifoux, died on Saturday, February 4, 2017, in Winter Haven, FL. She was born in Willimantic, CT, on April 30, 1931 to the late Wilfred and Margaret (Beauregard) Phaneuf. Evelyn moved to Haines City, FL six years ago from Willimantic. Evelyn had a strong Catholic faith, she was a Life Member of the B.P.O.E. and retired from the University of Connecticut, as a maintenance worker. Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Ann M. Freeman and her husband Jeff of Haines City; sister, Jeanne Munson of Hastings, Minn.; two brothers, Robert Phaneuf of Willimantic and Wilfred Phaneuf of California; two grandchildren, Sheri King and Jeff Freeman, Jr. and one great grandson Noah Freeman. She was predeceased by a brother Lt. Col. Richard Phaneuf, Ret. Evelyn?s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday February 10, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte.195) Willimantic, CT. Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday February 11, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 46 Valley St. Willimantic, CT, with burial to follow at St Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
