Evelyn M. Barrett

Evelyn M. (Cloutier) Barrett, 96, of Willimantic, passed away Dec. 31, 2011 at Windham Hospital. She was born on Jan. 10, 1915 in Willimantic the daughter of Eugene J. and Catherine (Hornberger) Cloutier. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Windham High School. Evelyn married Francis Barrett of Manchester, CT, where they then made their home. During World War II, she worked at Pratt & Whitney while Mr. Barrett served in the U.S. Army in Europe. When the war was over, they moved back to Willimantic and her husband earned a bachelor's degree at University of Connecticut and Evelyn became employed by the CT Dept. of Motor Vehicles for 27 years. She is survived by a brother George Cloutier of Windham, a sister Florence Pardus of Keene, NH and several nieces and nephews. All services will be at the convenience of the family.
