Evan D. Malecki

Evan D. Malecki, 4, of Storrs, died Saturday November 27, 2004, in the loving arms of his parents Robert and Stacy Malecki, at the Connecticut Children?s Medical Center in Hartford. He was born June 20, 2000 in Hartford. Evan loved his family and caregivers, and enjoyed being out and about in the community. He will be missed at church, school, and sports events. Evan?s life was a blessing, he taught faith, he knew love, he knew joy, and now he knows peace. In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother, Alec, his sister, Samantha, his maternal grandparents, William and Annemarie Thompson of Storrs, paternal grandparents, Robert and Diane Malecki, great grandmothers, Loretta Cuculic and Phyllis Thompson, several aunts, uncles and cousins. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Storrs Congregational Church with the Reverend Dr. Kenneth Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Storrs Cemetery.
