Eugene J. Serwanski

Eugene J. Serwanski, 72, formerly of Chapman St. Willimantic, died Saturday Feb. 21, 2004 at Haven Health Center in Willimantic. He was born July 12, 1931 in Willimantic the son of the late Joseph and Mildred (Urban) Serwanski. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and had retired from Pratt & Whitney in E. Hartford. Mr. Serwanski also operated Ski's Electronics in Willimantic. He was a member of the Pulaski American Citizens Club and the James J. Shea Post #19 American Legion . He was active with Boy Scout Troop #31 and enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He is survived by 3 daughters; Donna Nichols of Willimantic, Laurie Taylor and her husband Robert of Canterbury and Paula Lembo and her husband Phillip "Jay" of Columbia, a son Douglas Serwanski of Willimantic and 5 grandchildren; David Nichols Jr., Cassandra Nichols, Caitlin Suter, Nicole Lembo and Autumn Lembo. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday Feb. 27th from 1:00 to 2:00pm with a service to be held at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to St. Joseph Church Renovation Fund, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic,Ct. 06226.
