Esther (D'Amour) Gervais,92. passed away on Sunday, December 27th, at Douglas Manor, in Windham Center. She was born in Willimantic, and lived there, as well as North Windham, and in Windham Center for the last 48 years. She is survived by three sons, Roderick of Charlton, MA, Adrian of Middletown, and Gerald and his wife, Dale, of Columbia; one daughter, Norma, of Windham Center; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 58 years, Paul. Esther was very caring of her family and loved family get-together's. She always loved to sew, and made clothes, blankets, and dolls for family and friends. She and her husband, Paul, were avid gardeners and often shared the bounty of their gardens with others. Esther also enjoyed cooking and baking for most of her life. She graduated from Windham High School and worked as a bookkeeper at the Willimantic Thread Mill, and later, at Deary Bros. Dairy, where her husband also worked. She also was employed in child care at the Willi Bowling Center, in North Windham. She always loved children. She will be missed by her loving family. The family will be having a private service.
