Estelle S. Schiller

Estelle S. Schiller, beloved wife of C. Lawrence Schiller for more than 65 years, passed on May 25,2013 after a long battle with cancer. She was born May 4, 1928 to Israel and Sarah Saltzman. She was raised in New York City and after her marriage to Larry they located in Willimantic where she resided until her death. She had attended New York University and had a long career with the State of Connecticut at the University of Connecticut and for the Connecticut State Library Regional Services Center. In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons; Howard and his wife Bonnie of Willimantic, CT, Douglas and his wife Dvara of Warren, N.J. and Richard and his wife Amy of Vernon, CT. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren; Joshua, Elizabeth, Matthew, Rachel, Lowell and Rebecca, as well as four great grandchildren, Samantha, Reagan, Brody and Zachary. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Temple Bnai Israel Cemetery, Perkins Corner (Rte. 32 at intersection with Rte. 31) Mansfield at 1:00 P.M. Shiva will be observed at the home of Howard and Bonnie Schiller, 303 North Street, Willimantic through Friday.
