Emma Greenleaf Obituary
Emma Frances Greenleaf, 93, of Coventry, CT passed away on January 28, 2021. She was the oldest of 14 children born to Henry and Nancy (Moore) Farrington. Emma retired from many places including Electric Motive, AE & G Power tools, and Abel and Coil. After retirement, she worked at the UConn Dining Services. Emma was a very warm and kind person who loved the UConn Huskies.
She is survived by her sister and best friend, Florence “Jeanette” Farrington; children, Robert and his significant other Ellie Arnold, Philip and his significant other Heather Tompkins, William and his wife Stephanie, Alice Greenleaf and her significant other Donald Collard, Laurie Baker and her significant other Victor Lavalee, Elsie “Patty” Armstrong, and David Greenleaf; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Emma’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT 06226. Her burial will be at New Coventry Cemetery in Coventry, CT. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
