Emelda M. Doane

Emelda M. (Desrosiers) Doane, 86 of Eastford, Ct. widow of Harold Doane, died Friday April 9, 2004 at a local nuring facility. She was born May 27, 1917 in Fall River, MA., the daughter of Ovide and Marie (Plante) Desrosiers. She grew up in South Windham, CT. and resided in Willimantic, CT. until the early 1950's. She then moved to Eastford and then to the Spencer/Brimfield, MA. area. She is survived by a daughter Marion Lapierre and her husband Oliver of Eastford, a stepson Harold Doane of West Brookfield, MA., a brother Wilfred Desrosiers of Chaplin,CT., a sister Rita Flynn of Willimantic, 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Raymond T. Ives, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Monday from 10:00am to 11:00am. A graveside service will follow at 12:30pm in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Pleasant St. (Rte.31), Spencer, MA. Please omit flowers.
