Elsie R. Hanks

Elsie R. Hanks, of Willington, widow of Gordon R. Hanks, passed away Nov. 2, 2003 at the Fox Hill Center in Rockville. She was born in Willington, the daughter of the late William and Philomena Pardus. Elsie had retired from the UConn Microbiology Dept. She was a member of the Willington Hill Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary from its' inception. She was also a member of the Willington Senior Center and had been active on the Housing Commission to get elderly housing in town. Elsie is survived by her daughter and son in law Nancy and Walter Horn of Tolland, grandson Jeffrey Horn of Tolland, granddaughter Heidi Clark of Punta Gorda, FL., and 2 great granddaughters Nicole and Lindsay Clark of Punta Gorda. Per Elsie's request, there will be no calling hours , funeral or memorial service and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations are suggested to either the Willington Hill Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, Old Farms Rd., Willington, Ct. 06279 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
