Elsie Mae (Delude) Lavallee

Elsie Mae (Delude) Lavallee, 78, of Willimantic, was called to heaven on Friday November 10, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Willimantic, on January 13, 1938, the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Tatro) Lavallee where she was a lifelong resident. Elsie was employed for years as a custodian at UCONN prior to her retirement. She was a communicant at St. Joseph Church where she spent a great deal of time and rarely missed a service. After her retirement, she enjoyed gatherings with her large family and never missed an opportunity to get in on a good joke. Elsie leaves behind four children: Kathy Merced, Elsie Lavallee, Bridgette Lavallee all of Willimantic and Victor (Mike) Lavallee of Coventry; two sisters Rose Marie McKenna of Uncasville and Mary Chappell of Windham Center; twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson Roger Lavallee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Elsie?s name to St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT 06226. Elsie?s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday November 13, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday November 14, 2016 at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St., with assembly at church. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
