Ellen W. Lathrop

Ellen W. Lathrop became an angel on October 6, 2015. She was born in Plainfield, CT, the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Hopkins) White. Ellen was a graduate of Windham High School. She received her BA from Eastern Connecticut State University and her MA from UConn. She held membership in the Theta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society. Throughout her life, Ellen was an active member of many charitable organizations. She was a resident of Lebanon for more than 60 years and is fondly remembered by many students at Lebanon Elementary School where she taught for over 21 years. Ellen was predeceased by her beloved husband Clayton E. Lathrop and her sister Grace Hebert. Ellen leaves behind several nieces and nephews and many loving friends. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Lebanon, Route 207, Lebanon, CT, on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lebanon Senior Center.
