Ella Benson

Ella Anna Benson, 80, of Berlin, passed away on Wed. Nov. 14, 2012. She was born on April 13, 1932 in Willimantic, the daughter of Rudolf Axel Benson and Margaret E. Hall. She was blessed to have been entrusted with four beautiful children, Vickie Hogan, Patricia Humphrey and her husband Phil (Ella's special son in law), Diane Kisner and Scott Marra and his fiancee Carol. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, Gay Miller of Colorado and Dorothy Hartl of E. Hartford; and several nieces and nephews. Ella was a graduate of East Hartford High School class of 1950. She was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan and most of all a loving mother who enjoyed life to the fullest. By her request, there will be no calling hours and a graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in New Willimantic Cemetery.
