Elizabeth R. Slayton

Elizabeth R. Slayton, 88, of Windham, formerly of Coventry, wife of the late Stephen E. Slayton, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006 in Windham. She was born June 10, 1917 in Newport, VT and had lived in Coventry most of her life. She was an avid Red Sox fan, a wonderful homemaker and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She is survived by 5 children, Ron Bishop of Phoenix, AZ, Marvin Bishop of Nashville, TN, Bobby Bishop and his wife Dorianne of Jericho Center, VT, Sheila Gebo and her husband Charles of Huntington, VT, Tim Slayton and his wife, Valerie of Willimantic, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Her family will receive friends at the Gifford Funeral home, 22 Depot Rd. Richmond, VT on Wednesday May 31, 2006 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to her graveside service at 2:00 p.m. in the Jeffersonville Cemetery, Jeffersonville, VT.
