Elizabeth M. Perrone

Elizabeth M. (Ermini) Perrone, 81, of North Windham, beloved wife of Joseph W. Perrone and devoted mother to Anita Curtis and her husband Bradley Curtis of Manchester and Cynthia Perrone-Sorci and her husband John Sorci of Weston, Florida, died peacefully Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Windham Community Memorial Hospital in Willimantic. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Matthew Curtis (21), Alexander Curtis (16), Elisa Shoff (18) and Zachary Shoff (15). She was born April 24, 1925, daughter of Antonio and Sophia Ermini, both deceased, of Waterbury. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and had been a resident of the Windham area for more than 14 years. Prior to that she was a long time resident of Waterbury and had worked at the Taft School for 27 years. Mrs. Perrone was the first professional bondswoman in the State of Connecticut, an active member of St. Joseph Church in Willimantic, a member of St. Joseph Women s Club and an aide at St. Mary-St. Joseph School. In addition to her husband she is also survived by two brothers, Ferdinand Ermini of Florida and Anthony Ermini of Waterbury. Friends may call at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the procession to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd., Windham. Elizabeth was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. With her kindness, patience, faith and love, she set an example for all that knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed.
