Elizabeth "Betty" Goddard

Elizabeth "Betty" Marie (Neukirch) Goddard, 95, passed away on Wednesday February 26, 2014 at Windham Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband John Goddard III and her sister Rita (Neukirch) Cotter and her husband Dan. She was born December 25, 1918 in Cheshire CT, in the home of her parents, the late Jacob Neukirch and Martha (Cullen) Neukirch. She leaves behind her brother Jack Neukirch and his wife Olga (Manzik) Neukirch; children John Goddard IV, Cathleen (Goddard) Larson, Timothy Goddard and his wife Susan (Locke) Goddard; grandchildren, Jennifer (Goddard) and her husband Jamie Colburn, Eric Neumann, Charles Goddard, Stephanie (Goddard) and her husband Brett Lassen, Travis and his wife Yolanda (Gamero) Goddard, Kali Goddard and her fiancAC. Derek Zumpfe, and Taylor Goddard; great-grandchildren; Elise, Erin, Mary, Evan, Thomas, Sayde, Leah, Caleb and Clara. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, John's wife, Joyce (Frey) Goddard. Betty lived in Cheshire and Tariffville, CT for most of her life and has lived at Juniper Hill in Storrs, CT for the past few years. Many of her favorite memories were summers at the Goddard camp in Lakeville, her annual Tariffville neighborhood Christmas parties, annual cousin reunions, the family Round Robin, vacations on Cape Cod, and many cherished stories. She loved spending time with and caring for her family and friends, playing bridge, taking long walks, enjoyed her occasional martini, and was a huge animal lover.
