Elizabeth M. (Carchidi) Hooper, 90, of Willimantic, CT passed away on November 4, 2020. She was born in Willimantic to Cesari and Alice (Baril) Carchidi. Elizabeth enjoyed building campfires and had a passion for cooking for her family and friends. She worked for American Thread, Electric Motive, and retired from the UConn Food Service. She and her husband enjoyed many years in Florida. Elizabeth is survived by her four sons James and his wife Pamela, David, Alan and his wife Brenda, and Jason and his wife Barbara, grandchildren Eric, Kyle, Jessica, Rachael, Dylan, Ashley, Izayah, and Kelsie, great grandchildren Makenzie, Harrison, Lincoln, Juliana, Chase, Hayden, Owen, and Maren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Herbert F. “Skip” Hooper, and her siblings Nicholas, Arthur, Albert, Dolores, and Andrew. Elizabeth’s Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT 06226. Her burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham, CT. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will not be a reception following her services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Foundation.
