Elenora (LaChance) Moran, 95, formerly of Parker Bridge Rd., Andover, widow of William Moran Jr., died Friday Dec. 9, 2005 at St. Joseph Living Center, Windham. She was born Nov. 14, 1910 in Providence, R.I. the daughter of George and Lillian (Sears) LaChance. She had been employed by American Screw Co. and retired from Aetna Insurance Co. in Hartford. Elenora was the third generation to reside at the family home on Parker Bridge Rd. where she raised her brother George and her 5 daughters. She was a member of the Andover Grange, the Young at Heart Group in Andover and was a communicant of St. Columba Church, Columbia. Elenora enjoyed the outdoors, crocheting, crafts and gardening. She also enjoyed music and for a time played the violin with the Hartford Symphony. She is survived by 4 daughters, Kathleen Makoul and her husband Ralph of Windham, Jean Lacey of Amherst, N.Y., Mary McCarthy and her husband Robert of Windham and Margaret Moran-Davis and her husband Howard Davis of Phoenix, AZ.; a brother George LaChance of Wellsville, N.Y., 11 grandchildren, Greg, Michael and Steven Makoul, Meg Gustafson, Kate McCarthy-Cox, Kevin McCarthy, Beth Lacey, Jill Lacey-Griffin, Jonathan Lacey, Marc Lacey and Brian Verderame; and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Anita Louise Moran and 2 sisters. There are no calling hours. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30am at St. Columba Church, Columbia (intersection of Rte. 66 and Rte. 87). Burial will be private in St. Mary Cemetery, Putnam.
