Eleanor Walsh Obituary
Eleanor (Eichner) Walsh, 95, of Vernon, wife of the late Nelson H. Walsh Sr, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2021, at Rockville General Hospital. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a communicant of St Bernards Church in Rockville and had been a member of the Ladies Guild for many years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching her soaps and the game shows.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter Sandra (John) Dietrich; daughter-in-law Bettyann Walsh; granddaughters, Kelly (Spencer) Tilley, Amy Walsh, grandson Matthew Dietrich; great-granddaughters, Madison and Morgan Tilley and sisters Phyllis (Tom) Trowbridge and Janet Frankl and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Nelson H Walsh Jr, brothers and sisters-in-law Frank (Anita) Eichner, Joseph (Mary) Eichner, Daniel (Phyllis) Eichner, sisters and brothers-in-law Sylvia (Frank) Conlombe and Josephine (Robert) Marrotte.
Eleanor’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 9:30am to 10:30am, at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St, Willimantic, with a brief service beginning at 10:30am. Burial to follow at the New Willimantic Cemetery, Willimantic.
