Eleanor Mello Anctil, 70, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, died Thursday, January 19, 2006 at St. Clare Medical Center in Dover, NJ. Mrs. Anctil was born in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and was a resident of Mansfield-Storrs, Connecticut for over 45 years. She was married to the late Pierre Henry Anctil of Fall River, Massachusetts. Surviving her are two devoted daughters, Veronica Silvia Morton of Furlong, Pennsylvania and Rebecca Anctil Payonk and loving grandson, Adam Payonk of Hackettstown, NJ., her extended family, Wolfgang Bogacz, Gregory Payonk, Wesley Morton and Wendy Morton Marinan, sisters, aunts and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law residing in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Mrs. Anctil loved children and was a nanny for years as a stay-at-home Mom. She joined the Mansfield School System as Custodian and retired after more than 25 years of service. She moved to Hackettstown, NJ in 2003 to be closer to her daughters and grandson. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Storrs Cemetery.
