Elaine Marie Michaud

Elaine Marie Michaud, 52, of Willimantic, beloved daughter of Therese R. Michaud and Roland J. Michaud passed from this life on May 8, 2014 at her home, Horizons Community Residence, after a short period of declining health. Elaine was born in Hartford on July 18, 1961. She was a resident of East Hartford and Willimantic communities. She is survived by her mother, Therese R. Michaud; two brothers, Dennis G. Michaud of East Hartford, and Carl A. Michaud of Coventry; and three sisters, Pauline C. Michaud of Manchester, Diane M. Michaud of Coventry and her fiancAC. George D. Porto of North Haven and Sandra A. Michaud of East Hartford. She is also survived by her Uncle, Albert N. Michaud of Ojai, California, her aunts Shelley Michaud and her husband Ken Valentine of Mansfield and Kristine Michaud and her husband Craig Spencer of Coventry. Elaine was predeceased by her father, Roland J. Michaud. Elaine loved music, animals, bracelets, ketchup and peanut butter cups. Elaine enjoyed spending her summer vacations with her friends at Camp Horizons. Elaine was a beloved daughter, sister and friend. Her sense of humor and love of life were gifts she shared freely and endeared her to all. Elaine will be in the hearts of her housemates and her entire extended family at Horizons. Her family will receive relatives and friends at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM.
