Elaine D. Colon

Elaine D. (Graham) Colon, 80, of Willimantic, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 17, 2011. She was born March 17, 1931 to the late Francis and Victoria Graham. She was predeceased by her sister Catherine Fagan. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jose Colon, a daughter, April Bombard of East Hartford, granddaughter Jamie Volle and her husband Eric of Lebanon, granddaughter Ashley Bombard of Manchester, granddaughter Sara Hunter of Panama City, FL, three great grandchildren, Elise, Mason and Avery Volle, several nieces, nephews and godchildren. She is also survived by three stepdaughters, Melissa Colon of Middletown, Stacy Colon of Stafford Springs and Nixza Colon of Miami, FL and their children. Elaine graduated from Manchester High School in 1949.She worked at Manchester Mode for 25 years and for several years at Lyon Manor, Canterbury Villa and Staff Mates. Her most enjoyable work was caring for children in her Home Day Care Center. Elaine was a very generous woman who loved her friends and family very much. She will be greatly missed! Her family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday November 22nd at 10:00 a.m. in the New Willimantic Cemetery, Rte. 32 at Rte. 6, Willimantic.
