Eija K. (Pisila) Miffitt, 58, of Crystal Rd., North Windham, wife of Albert Miffitt, died July 5, 2004 in Finland from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was born Oct. 22, 1945 in Finland. Eija had been employed for the past 8 years by Corporate Translations Inc. in Mansfield. She was a member of the Women in Black and a former member of the Finnish-American Club in Canterbury. In addition to her husband Albert, she is survived by 2 step children, Melinda Miffitt of Hyde Park, MA. and Matthew Miffitt of Winooski, N.H., a son Michael Balnis and his wife Jennifer and their children Andriana, Nicholas and Alexander all of Enfield and 3 brothers, Eric Pisila of St. Charles, MO., Mark Peterson of Mahwah, N.J. and Harry Pisila of Chatham, N.Y. She was predeceased by a sister Salema Robishaw. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Her Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 12:00pm. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers her family suggests memorial donations to either the American Diabetes Association, CT. Memorial Processing Center, P.O.
