Edward Waitte

Edward Waitte , 81, of Lovers Lane, Windham, husband of Viola (Visintini) Waitte, died Sunday Aug. 18, 2002 at the Backus Hospital, Norwich. He was born Jan. 31, 1921 in Stafford Springs, the son of the late Joseph and Stella Waitte. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War 2. Mr. Waitte was the former president of Waitte?s Insurance Agency. He was a member of numerous civic and fraternal organizations and enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending quality time with his family. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons and daughters in law; Edward J. and Kate Waitte of Griswold and Michael J. and Mary Waitte of N. Windham, 2 grandchildren; Ethan M. Waitte of Griswold and Brittany B. Waitte of N. Windham and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 6:00pm at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, with his family receiving friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to St. Mary- St. Joseph School, 35 Valley St. Willimantic,Ct. 06226.
