Edward Anthony Tervidis, known by friends and family as Eddy, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2023 in Windham, Connecticut. Born on April 29, 1931, in Easton, Pennsylvania, Eddy lived a life filled with hard work, ingenuity, and a curiosity for the world around him.
Eddy's early life was characterized by his industrious spirit. As a youth, he worked in New York City, delivering milk via horse and buggy. This was a time when the city was growing rapidly, and Eddy was at the heart of it all. Later, he worked as a page for Metro Goldwyn Mayer, where he was able to experience the hustle and bustle of NYC.
Eddy also had an entrepreneurial spirit, self-employed in various fields over his lifetime. He was a painting contractor, drove truckloads of chickens to NYC, owned a chicken farm, was a home designer and General contractor and owned a large equipment and auto sales business. His resourcefulness and versatility showed his ability to adapt in any situation. Among his accomplishments, Eddy was particularly proud of his patent for a fire sprinkler, a testament to his inventive mind and concern for safety.
Eddy had a deep love for history, both local and general. He cherished stories from the past and enjoyed sharing these tales with others. He was an avid reader. His interests included hunting, deep-sea fishing, and exploring the hidden gems of his home state and beyond. He was also skilled in woodworking, a craft that allowed him to express his creativity and attention to detail.
Eddy was a man of intelligence, always eager to learn and expand his knowledge. His analytical mind allowed him to approach problems with a unique perspective, often leading to innovative solutions. He was also incredibly handy.

He was predeceased by his wife, Maria Tervidis (Zlotnick). He is survived by his sister, Marcella A. Tervidis, and his three daughters, Paula Macy, Judy Migliore (Joseph), and Marie Beck (John). He was a proud and loving grandfather (Coppa) to Danika (Joseph Dussling) and Ian Beck (RJ Rautio), and Addison Beck. Eddy also had the joy of being a great-grandfather to Caden Dussling, who brought immense joy to his later years. He was also proud to be “Coppa” to Kathy, Butch and Emily. Eddy also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
