Edward Williams Sr

Edward F. Williams, Sr. 77, passed away October 2, 2010 at Harrington Court of Colchester. For over 20 years he lived in Lebanon, CT before moving to New Port Richey, Florida in 1990 to semi-retire then moving back to Willimantic. He was born November 7, 1932 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the son of the late Edgar and Lillian (Bruney) Williams and step-son to the late Cyril and Susan (Preston) Goss. He was employed for many years as a truck driver which he loved doing. Ed loved watching football and also was an Avid fan of NASCAR Racing. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 40 years Bette (Shegda) Williams and a daughter Patricia Williams. In addition to Patricia and her children Jennifer, Kimberly, Nicole and Michael, he had a son, Edward Williams, Jr., his wife Renee, sons Tyler, Matt and Jonny of Fairfield, IL, a daughter Lillian Kennedy and husband Dave, son David, Jr. of Salem, and daughter Kathryn Williams her fiance John Reuss and son Jesse, of Fairfield, IL. He had eight great grandchildren. His funeral service will be Monday, October 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Potter Funeral home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
