Edward D. Munson

Edward D. Munson, 69, of Columbia, husband of Judith (Arner) Munson, died Saturday December 16, 2017 at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in Manchester, CT, the son of the late George and Ruth (Koerner) Munson. Edward served in the United States Army and was a butcher for 50 years. He was also an avid New York Yankee and New York Giants fan. In addition to his wife of 38 years, Judith, he is survived by three sons, Scott, Chris and Ken Munson and a stepson Douglas; a stepdaughter Christine; two brothers, George Munson and his wife Maureen and David Munson and his wife Kathy; two sisters, Barbara Herrick and her husband Carl and Joanne Munson; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. There are no calling hours. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Edward?s name may be made to Hartford Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center, 79 Retreat Ave. Hartford, CT 06106.
