Edna Perkins

Edna L. Perkins passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Douglas Manor in Windham. Edna was born in Plainfield on December 15, 1907 and was a resident of Coventry. Surviving her are daughters Shirley (late Francis) Bigelow of North Windham and Janice (Rudolph) Schoen of Glastonbury. She was preceded in death by sons Kenneth (Dorothy) White of Tolland, Arthur (Shirley) Bruneau of Columbia and Joseph White of Hartford. She leaves her grandchildren, Anita Reeder, Karen Greenleaf, Kenneth White, Doreen Conrad, Denise (Schoen), Patty Bruneau, Donna Lussier, Susan Perkins, Bonnie Kern, Cindy Pelletier and Timothy Bigelow with the passing of two grandchildren. She also leaves many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren with the passing of two great grandchildren. A special thanks goes to her very dear friend, Patti Parlette of Mansfield, who visited her regularly in her own home and at Douglas Manor. She enjoyed bingo, gardening and her favorite, trips to Foxwoods and spending time with her family. Her family will receive friends and relatives at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
