Edna E. Pearle

Edna Pearle, "Cookie", 61, of Willimantic, CT passed away peacefully Monday April 13, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, with family by her side. Cookie was born in Winsted CT May 21, 1953 daughter to the late Dana and Mary Pearle. In addition to her parents, Cookie was predeceased by her beloved husband, George J Popovich, JR. and brother David Pearle. She is survived by her daughters and son in law, Natalie Fogg Marston and Seth Hazzard of Mansfield CT, and Kim Fogg Tweedie of Ware MA; her sister and brother in law, Linda McKay and George McKay of Glastonbury, and her beloved grandchildren, Bradley Marston of Mansfield, and Shelby and Jack Tweedie of Ware, MA. She also leaves behind a much loved dog, Dolly. Cookie was a woman who believed in hard work and worked for everything she had in her life. Cookie was a waitress for much of her life along with operating a business with her husband. Cookie will be remembered for her optimistic attitude and her determination to never give up. Cookie was an extremely loving and caring person to her family, who always put others before herself. In addition to a special love she had for her family, Cookie always opened her heart to animals in need, enjoying their companionship and providing them unconditional love. In honor of Cookie's wishes, services will be private. Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Francis Hospital MSICU.
